Those familiar with Tableau know it is a valuable tool for exploring and visualizing data. This workshop seeks to build on initial Tableau skills to discuss how to develop effective dashboards. Participants will be shown how to use calculated fields, non-standard data visualization graph types, and best practices for designing effective dashboards that can communicate a research story to both academic and public audiences.
Please have Tableau downloaded prior to the workshop. You can download with a student license</a >or download with a teacher license.
This workshop is a part of CMU Libraries’ Communicating Data and Research Storytelling series. View all of the CMU library workshops events.
